Content Labels, NSFW & AI
NSFW (Not Safe For Work) is a label used for mature content that some viewers may reasonably find objectionable. To view NSFW content on fun.app, users must be logged in and have enabled NSFW content in their account settings.
All content that meets NSFW criteria must be clearly marked as such, including the specific reason it is flagged. If multiple themes apply, choose the most relevant.
Failure to label NSFW content may lead to content removal. Repeated violations may result in account or community suspensions or bans.
What Requires an NSFW Label
- Nudity
Any content showing genitals, bare buttocks, or female nipples must be labeled NSFW. This includes partial nudity e.g. sheer, bodypainting, a upskirts, taint, and in general the area around the gentials between the legs - Sexual Acts
Explicit portrayals or actual acts of sex or implied sex. Please note this label focuses on explicit acts of sex. - Violence
Content showing extreme violence, grievous bodily harm, death, or gore (e.g., excessive blood) must be marked NSFW.
If content includes:
Both nudity and sexual acts -> use the sexual acts tag.
Both nudity or sexual acts, and violence, death, or gore → use the violence tag.
When in Doubt, Label It
Use the NSFW label if you're unsure. A general rule of thumb:
If you’d feel uncomfortable opening the content in public where others can see your screen, it likely requires an NSFW label.
NSFW Profiles and Groups
Accounts, Communities, Collections, Channels, Keywords, and Interests can all carry NSFW labels.
If the majority of content associated with any of these is NSFW, it must be labeled accordingly.
Users who consistently post NSFW content should consider labeling their entire account as NSFW.
_____
AI-Generated Content
Any content that has been created, assisted, or significantly modified using artificial intelligence (AI) tools must be labeled with the AI tag.
This includes—but is not limited to:
- Text generated or heavily edited using AI writing tools
- Images created with AI-based image generation tools
- Audio or video synthesized or altered using AI
- Any visual or textual media where AI played a central role in the creation process
The AI label is intended to promote transparency and help maintain trust across the network. Viewers should know when content has been generated with the aid of machines rather than entirely by humans.
Failure to label AI-generated content may result in removal of the content and, in cases of repeated non-disclosure, may lead to disciplinary actions.
When in doubt, label it. If AI played any meaningful role in the creation of a post, it should carry the AI tag.
