A rare blue supermoon - the closest full moon of the year - dazzled stargazers on  Wednesday night as the glowing object illuminated the sky.

Florida and Georgia residents living along Hurricane Idalia’s path of destruction are picking through piles of rubble, throwing tarps over roofs and gingerly navigating through a maze of streets left underwater or clogged with fallen trees.
